Compendium Mech Specs - Teklo
Doctor Boost
There's a lot to talk about with these new Evos. Evo Beta Base Head and its brethren all have similar text, but occupy the different armor slots.
0 cost equipments are interesting for a few reasons.
- They allow easier use for Teklovossen, Esteemed Magnate. You can pitch a blue from hand and play this card from any zone for free, which will also draw you a card!
- Provides more scrap targets in your deck. This is also great just to make things more relevant.
- Gets more equipment for your Teklovossen, the Mechropotent.
- Resets your Evo Steel Soul Memory and the other respective Steel Soul Evos.
- Reduces cost on the Steel Souls, which makes it easy to play them. Sometimes 4 resources is a lot (more likely 7 when you're doing your Teklo tricks).
- Battleworn on evos are particularly nice with Fabricate. They aren't as good as the mistveil ones which don't have battleworn and can block, but getting a 2 block off of these could be pretty okay on your fabricate turns where you will banish one of these and give +1 on evos until end of turn.
Zandrenel is the go to specialist on Boost Teklo with thousands of games of experience. It's nice to see the creativity and thoughtfulness with this list, while also trying out many of the new cards.
In Teklovossen, Esteemed Magnate, Heavy Metal Hardcore is a functional reprint of Sprocket Rocket. That gives Teklo access to 9 Zero to Sixty.
Lots of Evo Upgrades here get a nice boost...with the Evo Beta Base Head equipemnts. The payoffs here besides the Sprocket Rockets and Heavy Metal Hardcores are your usual suspects Terminator Tank, War Machine and Teklo Leveler, and to a lesser extent Demolition Protocol.
The new payoffs are Blast Rig, which late game is another 0 for 4 without boost and the two new protocol cards Ghost Protocol: Mainframe and Ghost Protocol: Architect.
Twin Drive deserves an extra callout considering it has a much higher probability of boosting evos.
Synapse Sparkcap is really strong here as you are likely to be filtering your extra evos in hand to ideally ponder into boosts or tanks.
Cogwerx Base Legs is also a little subtle here, but it can really enable some great early turns and enable your turns where you have multiple cards without go again, as well as allowing you to use Ghost Protocol: Architect and then immediately play it.
